CFCA2 is a type II PCMCIA (PC Card) Adapter for type I (3.3 mm thick) CompactFlash (CF) memory cards and the thicker type II (5 mm thick) CompactFlash memory cards and IBM Microdrives. With this adapter, you can convert a Type I or a Type II Compact Flash card and Microdrive card into a standard PCMCIA Type II PC Card. Simply insert the Compact Flash memory card or Microdrive into this adapter and it becomes compatible with any device with a PCMCIA PC Card slot. This CF card adapter allows host system such as laptops or desktop computers equipped with PCMCIA (PC Card) slot or PCMCIA Card Reader to read and write the CompactFlash CF cards just like PCMCIA PC cards. This adapter requires no drivers on any host system that fully supports PCMCIA PC Card specification.
