We sell two types of PCMCIA SRAM memory card: rechargeable battery type and replaceable battery type.

We supply the following brands of PCMCIA SRAM PC Card to industrial and military customers.

These Static RAM (SRAM) PC Cards offer a high performance, reprogrammable, non-volatile solution for code and data storage, disk caching, and write intensive mobile and embedded applications.

These high speed type I PCMCIA SRAM cards are available with or without attribute memory for "plug and play" compatibility.  You can use these Static RAM (SRAM) memory cards for palmtop / PDA / hand-held PC (HPC), Pfaff sewing machine, GE Fanuc computer numerical control (CNC), music keyboard/synthesizer, Cisco and Nortel Bay Networks routers, vibration analyzer, , monitoring and data collection/storage device, laptop/notebook PC, PCMCIA equipped PC, etc.  These SRAM cards offer a high performance, reprogrammable, non-volatile solution for code and data storage, disk caching, and write intensive applications in mobile and embedded systems.

These type I SRAM cards are designed with dual backup battery - a removable (replaceable) but non-rechargeable 3V lithium battery (primary battery) and an on-board rechargeable but non-replaceable battery (secondary battery) for data retention.  This design allows the replacement of primary battery without the data loss.  The digital signals will alarm the user the need of primary battery replacement.  The write protect switch on the SRAM card provides protection from inadvertent erasure.

These cards are compatible with all known PCMCIA SRAM PC card applications.  Packaged in PCMCIA Type I housing, these SRAM PCMCIA cards are available from 256KB to 8MB and in standard industrial temperature grade (0°C to +70°C).

These type I SRAM PC cards contain a rechargeable lithium battery with recharge circuit that automatically maintains peak condition when in use. The recharge feature eliminates the need for periodic replacing of batteries and avoids the environmental harm when disposing of used batteries. By fully encasing the battery within an ultra-sonically welded housing, these rechargeable SRAM PCMCIA cards offer greater resistance to shock and vibration. The card's rigid metal casing withstands harsh environmental conditions.

These cards are compatible with all known PCMCIA SRAM PC card applications. These SRAM PCMCIA cards are based on advanced CMOS technology providing very low power consumption and reliable data retention characteristics. The write protect switch on the SRAM PCMCIA card provides protection from inadvertent erasure.

Packaged in PCMCIA Type I housing, these SRAM PCMCIA cards are available from 256KB to 6MB and in standard temperature grade (0°C to +60°C) or industrial extended temperature grade (-20°C to +85°C).

Attribute memory is used for Card Information Structure (CIS) storage. The CIS describes the characteristics and capabilities of the SRAM PCMCIA card so the host system can automatically configure it. Some devices need this optional attribute memory for CIS. Please check your device's documentation or contact the device manufacturer to determine if the optional attribute memory is required or not. If your device requires no attribute memory, you do not need to purchase SRAM cards with attribute memory.   [There is no performance difference between the 8KB and 2KB attribute memory. Devices accept SRAM cards with 2KB attribute memory can also accept SRAM cards with 8KB attribute memory.]

If you are not sure whether the attribute memory is required by your devices or not, it is recommended to choose the SRAM memory cards with attribute memory because:
(1) SRAM cards with attribute memory are more compatible with most devices.  Most of the devices accepting the SRAM card without attribute memory can also accept the SRAM card with attribute memory.  [Exception: Some precision agriculture data loggers like the AG yield monitors can only use the SRAM cards without attribute memory.]
(2) Windows 2000, XP, and Vista only support SRAM cards with attribute memory.  To read/write SRAM cards without the attribute memory, in systems running Windows 2000 and XP, you need Third Party Software Packages for SRAM PC Card or special SRAM card reader such as OMNIDriveUSB Pro, etc.
